Sustainability & Responsibility
Choosing our products also means caring for the planet.
The fashion industry produces 10% of humanity's total carbon emissions and is the second largest consumer of water resources in the world.
At Fitsoul, we work to be increasingly respectful of the planet that we all, without exception, share. While still offering a wide variety of high quality products. We understand that all sustainability challenges in the fashion industry cannot be solved overnight.
We work day by day and side by side with our business partners to become the sustainable company you want us to be. Thank you for your trust. Buying from us also means taking care of the planet
We only manufacture products when our customers place their orders. That generates much less waste. There is no stock. We use energy-efficient printing, cutting and sewing equipment, which saves water and electricity in the process.
Our garments are printed using the direct-to-garment (DTG) printing method. The printing technology we use is made with sustainability in mind, and our Kornit printers use almost zero wastewater and less energy than industry-standard printers reducing our carbon footprint.
The inks we use for printing are vegan, water-based and free of harmful chemicals. Fitsoul takes sustainability very seriously, so we take care to dispose of leftover ink in accordance with ink supplier guidelines.
We use recyclable low-density polyethylene bags in our packaging.
Waste reduction and efficient shipping policy We work with DGT (Direct to Garment) and Sublimation.
What is sublimation?
Sublimation is the technique of printing an image on a product. The transfer of the printed design to the surface is done through heat.
What is DGT?
The acronym DGT literally means direct printing on the garment. The printer applies the ink directly to an already manufactured garment. It is a digital printing that offers, compared to traditional printing, among other advantages:
Up to 80% water savings
69% less water consumption
60% less water spillage
40% reduction in carbon footprint
Waste limitation
Fitsoul's products are made to order, fulfilling only the items that our customers really want. But we still have a lot to learn and do to make our production process more sustainable.
One of the main ways to reduce waste is to improve our packaging, starting with two of our most popular categories: DTG and posters. We used to wrap our orders of individual DTG products in extra plastic packaging. Now, we only use a polyethylene bag to package them.
For posters, we have started using triangular boxes instead of tubes with plastic lids.
Efficient shipping
Around 78% of Fitsoul's orders are delivered in the same region in which they are placed. Having fulfillment centers close to our customers is good for both business and the planet. The strategic location of fulfillment centers allows for faster shipping times and lower shipping costs, and also helps reduce CO₂ emissions produced when transporting orders.
Products
Quality you can trust
Because quality is sustainability, we are dedicated to providing you with products that last.
Reliable quality
The better the quality, the longer the product will last. Before adding new products, we test them for durability, washability and wear and tear to make sure they will stand the test of time. Making durable products means reducing new purchases.
We work with suppliers who produce high quality products that last many washings, keeping the print colors vibrant and the fabric soft. To provide you with information on product sourcing or manufacturing, in 2020 we add the product certificates we have at our disposal - such as GOTS and OEKO-TEX - to all our products that have been certified.
Efficient printing
A significant proportion of our products are printed using the direct-to-garment (DTG) printing technique. With the DTG technique, the ink is sprayed onto the garment, which helps it to soak into the fabric better and makes the print less prone to fading.
For our DTG prints, we use Kornit machines and inks. Kornit uses high quality water-based vegan inks that they formulate, test and produce in their own factories. Kornit inks are non-hazardous, toxin-free, biodegradable and certified with the OEKO-TEX eco-passport.
Kornit products meet the highest sustainability standards, with zero wastewater and a low carbon footprint, enabling on-demand printing that fits today's consumer culture.
We print our signs with GreenGuard-certified Epson inks.
For our all-in-one print products we use Mimaki printers, whose inks are also certified with the OEKO-TEX eco-passport.
Thank you.
